If you want to get the inside story about college from a current student's perspective, you'll want to arrange to speak with a student from THE REAL COLLEGE DEAL.

Real Students are current college students from across the country who are waiting to share their college experiences with you and your prospective student. Real Students do not work for a college or have any affiliation with an admissions office. Speak with a Real Student and ask anything you want (within reasonable bounds of appropriateness) and get a candid, unbiased perspective. Meetings will last approximately 30 - 45 minutes. We can arrange for a meeting in a public place on campus or a telephone meeting.

The more your student knows about a college, the easier it is to make the choice of where to attend.

$50 in-person meeting on campus
$35 meeting by phone or Skype
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
How the Real Students are selected: Real Students are hired for their enthusiasm and interest in talking with high school students about college life. They are personally selected by Dr. Elizabeth Stone. They will give you THEIR experience at college. Real Students all come from different backgrounds, study different academic areas, and participate in different extra-curricular activities. They will tell you about fun on campus, dorm life, the food in the dining hall, how they came to feel at home on campus. They'll tell you honestly what they like and don't like about school.
They're not recruiters, but they are probably happy at their college and that's why they want to share their excitement with you. Remember, the Real Students are independent from the college. Nothing you ask or say will be shared with campus officials. Think of the meeting as an informal chat with your best friend's cousin's roommate! We have developed a list of commonly asked questions which we will send you after a meeting is scheduled. Please feel free to use these questions or others of your own so that you can make the most of your talk and get the information that is most important to your prospective student.

What Real Students can't do: Real Students don't take students on college tours and can't take you inside their dormitory and they cannot meet you off-campus. Real Students are asked not to give out their personal phone number. Please communicate with them through email. Please contact the admissions office at the college to arrange campus tours.

Where are Real Students? We currently have Real Students on the following campuses:

Colleges are being added daily, so if you don't see one here, let us know as the website might have been updated.
